JCDA Selects Search Firm to Recruit New Executive Director

The Jefferson County Development Authority (JCDA) has hired Next Move Group to conduct a search for its next executive director.
Next Move Group is an economic development executive search firm which specializes in assisting small to mid-sized communities from coast to coast having performed searches as far east as Maine, west as Washington state, and south as Texas.
Team members from Next Move Group will kick off the executive search process in December when they visit Jefferson County to solicit input from JCDA board members, staff, and other community stakeholders regarding what the vision of economic development success looks like in Jefferson County. They will be obtaining information and learning more about Jefferson County, the expectations and challenges of the executive director position, the type of economic development candidate to pursue, etc.
Next Move Group’s services will include development of an executive director position profile, salary range recommendation, and advertisements and postings for media, publications, and on-line job sites. The firm will also screen applicants, create a list of finalists, and assist with the interviewing and selection process.
Currently, Next Move Group is conducting economic development executive searches in 11 states, including Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
