Devil’s Due Distillery Plans Major Expansion at Burr Business Park

September 8, 2025

Kearneysville, WV – September 8, 2025 – Devil’s Due Distillery, a locally founded craft distiller known for producing premium small-batch spirits, announced plans to expand its production footprint at the Burr Business Park in Jefferson County. The project will help the distillery meet growing demand as a regional-scale manufacturing operation, adding $ 1.2 million in equipment, expanded warehousing, and advanced bottling capabilities.

The expansion will more than quadruple the company’s annual production capacity and introduce new product lines aimed at both regional and national markets. In addition to serving customers across the Mid-Atlantic, Devil’s Due Distillery’s expanded facility will enable it to pursue private-label manufacturing partnerships and increase its distribution footprint.

“This is more than just an investment in our distillery—it’s an investment in Jefferson County’s craft beverage future,” said Wylie McDade, Founder of Devil’s Due Distillery. “We are committed to making exceptional West Virginia spirits and creating local jobs that bring value to our community.”

The Jefferson County Development Authority (JCDA) welcomed the news as another sign of the county’s growing status as a craft beverage and advanced manufacturing destination. The expansion complements the regional craft beverage initiative, which connects local breweries, wineries, cideries, and distilleries to new markets and tourism opportunities.

“Devil’s Due Distillery is proof that our business parks are home to innovative, high-quality producers building strong brands right here in Jefferson County,” said Krista Hoffman, Executive Director of the JCDA. “This kind of investment reinforces our position as a leader in the craft beverage sector while adding skilled manufacturing jobs to our local economy.”

The project is expected to create four to six new jobs over the next two years, ranging from production staff and bottling line operators to sales and logistics positions. Hiring will begin in 2026, with postings available on the distillery’s website and through local job boards.
