About JCDA

Since 1979, the Jefferson County Development Authority (JCDA) has worked to increase and diversify the tax base for Jefferson County. Our focus is on making West Virginia one of the best states for business by attracting manufacturing, IT, government, tourism, and agriculture businesses and retaining and expanding existing businesses within Jefferson County. The achievement of this mission provides excellent business opportunities for new and expanding businesses and provides local jobs for Jefferson County residents.

The JCDA was established by order of the Jefferson County West Virginia Commission, as permitted by Chapter Seven of the West Virginia Code. Meet the members of the board by attending a JCDA Board of Directors meeting held on the third Tuesday of every month.
